In the Netherlands, some people make floating houses, like the image on the left, to survive the frequent floods in the Netherlands. The Netherlands is like New Orleans. The country is mostly below sea level, causing many floods. When the Dutch build floating houses on the river, even if a flood causes the river to rise, the "House" will go up with it!
